Meet your host

My name is Candace, I am a yoga teacher, retreat leader and lifestyle coach currently based in Florida in the United States. I completed my 300h Yoga teacher training with Johann Kotze in Cape Town South Africa. I have dived deeper into my own practice, gained strength, healed injuries and discovered a calmness and clarity that I love to share in my classes and with my retreat clients. I also have extensive dance and fitness experience, lifestyle and habit change which has fed through naturally to my work as a yoga teacher. I offer two annual international Yoga retreats every year. I am also very passionate about health, lifestyle, animals, music, travel and being kind and gentle to our beautiful mother earth. The feedback from my clients about their transformation has been the greatest joy in my journey.  I truly love the feeling of openness and the beautiful connection of mind, body and spirit.  I love helping people reconnect, feel better and find their true bliss.  The feedback from my clients has been the most rewarding part of my Yoga journey.

Curious about Buddhism?

Curious about Buddhism?

Buddhism has played a central role in the spiritual, cultural, and social life of Asia, and, beginning in the 20th century, it spread to the West.

Buddhism is one of the world’s largest religions and originated 2,500 years ago in India. Buddhists believe that the human life is one of suffering, and that meditation, spiritual and physical labor, and good behavior are the ways to achieve enlightenment, or nirvana.

Why I Love Teaching Gentle Yoga

Why I Love Teaching Gentle Yoga

It is wonderful that approximately 20 million Americans are now doing yoga. And it is fantastic that we have countless varieties and styles of yoga — something for everyone.

I find, however, that in many communities there is a shortage of gentle yoga classes. Many people, especially middle aged and up, or those who are recovering from injuries are intimidated by yoga or don’t return after a bad yoga experience.

Gentle yoga is not only for those in their later years. I find that everyone feels good and present after a gentle, breath-connected, slower & more meditative yoga class.
