Swami Sivananda was an influential spiritual leader and yoga guru who lived in the early to mid-20th century. Born on September 8, 1887, in Pattamadai, in the Tamil Nadu province of India, Swami Sivananda was a highly respected spiritual teacher who founded the Divine Life Society, an organization dedicated to spreading the teachings of yoga, Vedanta, and other spiritual practices. Swami Sivananda died July 14, 1963.
