Yoga for Everybody – Gentle Yoga

I have so often heard people say “I can’t do yoga, I’m not flexible” and it has been so important for me to explain to as many people as possible that this is completely untrue. Yoga is about balance, balance of the body, mind and spirit. Yoga is about finding yourself and exploring the journey of self-transformation along the way, embracing change and releasing old patterns and basically anything no longer serving you. I was a student in Vinyasa Yoga for more than a decade and it was great, I did enjoy it however, my journey really shifted when I started practicing Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga is the original Yoga practice from India and is gentle, slow flowing and restorative. Although I can teach many styles of Yoga including Yin, restorative and Vinyasa flow; I feel it is my purpose to teach “gentle Yoga” and share this practice with as many people as possible.

In my classes I incorporate a short meditation, breath work, breath awareness and a gentle asana sequence. I have received such powerful feedback from clients attending Gentle Yoga classes; who before had such a negative association with Yoga. My clients have claimed “Gentle Yoga has healed me”, “Gentle Yoga has changed my life”, “Thank you Candace, I can’t believe I can touch my toes and move with such ease in my daily life because of your Gentle Yoga classes”.

Gentle Yoga is for everybody, all levels, all ages and all body types. If you are experiencing any blocks in your life; be it mental, physical, emotional or spiritual, try a Hatha Yoga or Gentle Yoga class and give yourself the chance to release, reconnect and grow. I have overcome hip pain, tension and even my own emotional trauma as a result of Hatha Yoga. The benefits of Yoga are so incredible and I truly want everyone in the world to be able to experience this magic. If you feel that “Yoga is hard” or you have had a bad experience, trust me don’t give up- Try Gentle Yoga and absorb all the magic that it will bring.
